Listen, folks, we’ve got something incredible here with immunotherapy for brain tumors – it’s huge!
Let me tell you, malignant gliomas, they’re the biggest brain tumors out there, and they’re tough, really tough. But we’re fighting back with something that’s going to change the game – it’s called immunotherapy. We’re talking about training your own body to fight these tumors. It’s smart, it’s effective, and it’s showing real promise.
We did this study, a great study, at the RNSI, with 91 patients. These are people with glioblastoma – that’s a serious brain tumor, very serious. Now, 41 of these patients got the works – surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, and this fantastic immunotherapy. The other 50, they just got the standard stuff, no immunotherapy.
And guess what? The results – they’re incredible. The immunotherapy group, they lived longer, much longer. We’re talking a median survival of 21.7 months compared to just 15.8 months for the others. And they had more time without the cancer coming back – 13.8 months versus 7.9 months. The numbers, they don’t lie – immunotherapy works.
But, and I’ll be honest, we’re not done yet. We’re going to make immunotherapy even better. We’re going to figure out how to beat the tumor’s tricks, pick the right targets, and mix it with other treatments. It’s going to be fantastic.
