This study highlights the significant challenges in treating pituitary adenomas in the Philippines, emphasizing the lack of local clinical data, resource distribution inequity, insufficient government support, and the high cost of diagnostics, medications, and surgeries. Conducted as a scoping review following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-analysis guidelines for Scoping Reviews, it reveals critical gaps in healthcare delivery for patients with these benign brain tumors. The findings suggest that addressing these issues requires a multifaceted approach, including better insurance coverage, increased healthcare manpower, improved resource accessibility, and enhanced disease awareness. This research is important as it sheds light on the specific obstacles faced in the Philippines, contributing to the global understanding of pituitary adenoma management and suggesting pathways for improving patient care through strengthened universal healthcare systems.
