Look, we’ve got something incredible here, folks. It’s a video, and it’s showing something very special – the use of the Synaptive 3D exoscope. It’s fantastic, really top-notch technology for complex meningioma resection. We’re talking about a patient, a 58-year-old woman, great woman, who had seizures for the first time. Not good, not good. But the workup, it showed a parasagittal meningioma. Big words, but it means a tough situation over the bilateral cortices.

She was put on Keppra, 750 mg, twice a day – strong stuff – and dexamethasone. They took care of her, discharged her, and then, there was this MR venography. It showed something – an occlusion in the superior sagittal sinus. So, they did an angiogram, and they embolized the tumor feeders with Onyx. Very high-tech.

And then, the big day – a craniotomy for meningioma resection with the guidance of this 3D exoscope. She woke up, stable, in the intensive care unit. By postoperative day 1, she was already working with physical therapy. Amazing recovery.

And the video, you can see it for yourself, it’s right here: https://stream.cadmore.media/r10.3171/2023.10.FOCVID23164. It’s something else, really. You’re going to want to see this. Believe me.
