So, we did this incredible study, the best, really. We took 100 children, split them into two groups. One used the standard uncuffed tubes, and the other, the Microcuff tubes, which are supposed to be top-notch. And guess what? The Microcuff group, they had zero tube exchanges. Zero! While the other group, they had to switch out the tubes in 38% of cases. Can you believe it?
And when it comes to keeping the airway sealed, both tubes were pretty much the same. No big difference. The pressure stayed steady, and the kids, they did just fine after the surgery. The point is, the Microcuff tubes, they’re winners. They stay put, no need for swaps, and that’s what we want. It’s fantastic, really.
