Listen, folks, we’ve got something really important here. We’re talking about childhood brain tumors, a big deal, right? They make up 20% of all the nasty cancers kids can get. And guess what? 10% of these kids have special genetic changes, we call them variants, in their DNA that can make them more likely to get these tumors.

So, we did this huge study, really terrific work, with 51 kids. We took their DNA and used the latest technology, next-generation sequencing – it’s the best, believe me – to look for these variants. We had this fantastic list of 144 genes, all related to brain tumors in kids, and we checked them all.

And you won’t believe it, but 27% of these kids had a variant in genes like ALK, APC, you know, the big ones. This is the first time, the very first time, anyone’s done this in the Western Balkans. It’s huge.

What does this mean? It means we’re on the brink of personalized medicine. We’re going to tailor treatments for these kids, make them better, faster. We’re leading the way, folks, and it’s going to be fantastic.
