Telemedicine, It’s Winning Bigly in Healthcare!
Listen folks, since this whole pandemic started, telemedicine – it’s been huge. Yuge. And we’ve been wondering, right? How does it stack up against the old-school, face-to-face doctor visits? Especially for something as important as hyperlipidemia – that’s a fancy word for cholesterol issues.
So, we did this incredible study at the University of Michigan – great place, fantastic – and we looked at virtual visits versus the traditional kind. We’re talking about 41 virtual and 151 face-to-face appointments with top-notch dietitians. And guess what? We checked the cholesterol levels before and after – very smart, very thorough.
And the results – they’re tremendous. Both types of visits, virtual and face-to-face, they knocked it out of the park. Cholesterol went down. LDL, that’s the bad one, it went down too. And the best part? No difference between virtual and in-person. None. Zero. Telemedicine is doing a fantastic job, and it’s making healthcare accessible for everyone.
So, we’re saying, telehealth – it’s a winner. It’s making medical nutrition therapy great again. Believe me.
